This past weekend, my family and I had planned a trip to Dollywood.  Just prior to leaving I heard that Dolly herself and a bunch of “special guests” would be there throughout the weekend to help raise money for Nashville’s Flood Relief efforts.

Well, it was true!  While I was there Sunday, she rolled thru the park around 4pm as well as dropping in on some of the park's shows and rides.  Friday, Miley & Billy Ray Cyrus dropped by, Saturday, Kenny Rodgers, Bruce Springsteen, and Kenny Chesney also made appearances according to Kelly, a park employee. 

Dolly said she hoped to raise over a half a million for the Flood Relief efforts from Saturday and Sunday’s net proceeds.  By Friday afternoon, her website alone had raised $40,000.  Pretty Cool, huh?
