Thank You Thank You Thank You
Hey, I just wanted to write a quick Thank You note for your absolutely awesome generosity this past weekend at JACK-fm’s Bikes or Bust event. With your help, we ended up raising 1,707 bicycles for the Middle Tennessee Toys for Tots foundation. Most importantly, 1,707 underprivileged kids are going to have an unforgettable Christmas.
If you have never seen over a thousand bicycles in one place, you should see the pictures. Corporal Bowers of Toys for Tots, the JACK-fm staff and I were overwhelmed by your kindness. You have done something that we all try to do, and that’s impact a child’s life with something positive and super cool, a new bicycle.
I personally want to also thank our sponsors: Beaman Automotive, Mapco Express, Mapco Mart, Delta Express, Cool Springs Galleria, Rivergate Mall, Family Campers of Lebanon, Sunbelt Rentals & Mister T’s Patio.
We also had food dropped for us from Hardees, Soulshine Pizza Factory, The Slider House & Chick-Fil-A. We couldn’t have put together all those bikes without help from our US Marine Corps Reserve Volunteers, the Boy Scout Troop #86, Station Camp High School Honor Society, Ravenwood High School Honor Society & Paige High School Jr ROTC.
If you didn’t get a chance to donate to Toys for Tots this past weekend, you can still donate. Look for Toys for Tots bins in area Toys R Us stores. Look for upcoming Toys for Tots drives at Nashville Predators and Tennessee Titans games before December 16th. Oh, and I also want to thank our first ever Nashville Celebrity Bike donator.
Again, thanks for everyone for your donations to this year’s Bikes or Bust. I wish you and your family the happiest of Thanksgivings.
See you next year…
