Weekend Flood Relief Events & More
Alright, by now you’ve heard of Nashville Rising: A Concert for Flood Recovery, June 22nd at the Bridgestone Arena. Well, tickets went on sale this morning and were quickly gobbled up. All I can find are single seat tickets, or over priced tickets on craigslist and eBay! (BTW-Who scalps a charity show?) Anyhow, there are more flood benefit events and other notables this weekend...
If you’re a little Artsy Fartsy, check out Art Flood in East Nashville. This’ll benefit Hands On Nashville.
GAC’s having their own concert for flood relief this Sunday at the Ryman. Music City Keep on Playing will be a nationally televised fundraiser for the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
Jerry Seinfeld performs at a sold out TPAC performance tonight, with all proceeds going to charity.
The Tennessean has put together a list of places where you can help out this weekend.
And for you bikers, the Ride for Kids is this Sunday in Franklin. This is a great ride that’ll raise money for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
If you’d like to help out the flood relief effort in other ways, here’s a page of organizations that can use your muscles.
Gotta run….

concert for funds
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have arranged a concert to aid support the Tennessee flood efforts. Nashville Rising, the name of the show, is a steal of a package. It will consist of 14 country performers and admission prices are very small in comparison. A portion of the earnings could be going to help with the latest flood damage done in Tennessee. It is extraordinary how many of the country singers have come together to help bring back this little town that had horrible damage, Nashville. This town is famous for country music, and it makes me smile to learn the singers aren't going to let this town go down with the flood.
