Nashville and the Bridgestone Arena will host the 2012 Southeastern Conference Women's Basketball Tournament, returning to Nashville for the fifth time. The winner of the 11-game tournament will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The tournament seeds and conference champion will be determined by the 14-game regular-season SEC schedule. The top four seeds earn a first-round bye.

This is the 5th time Bridgestone Arena has hosted the SEC women’s tournament. In 2011, Tennessee beat Kentucky on March 6th with a final score of 90-65.
